Event Details

This presentation will cover Arab and Arab American feminist perspectives on "gender violence" and the strategies these feminists are using to achieve gender justice and women's liberation.

Based upon research and her own lived experience in countries like Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine, Dr. Naber will provide a grassroots analysis that challenges current misconceptions about Arab and Muslim women. She will also touch upon viable strategies our local Oak Park community can consider in order to support Arab and Muslim women who are fighting for social justice, racial justice, and gender justice in their homelands and in America.
